Here are some of the things we can do to make your home more energy efficient.

• Seal, repair or replace windows and exterior doors
• Install compact fluorescent light bulbs and programmable thermostats
• Repair furnaces and water heaters and wrap water heaters with blankets
• Insulate attics, crawl spaces, hot water pipes and heating ducts
• Install high efficiency furnaces, water heaters and other appliances, depending on availability of funding

To be eligible for energy efficiency upgrades, you must:

• Own and live in your house (having a mortgage is okay)
• Live in the City of Oakland
• Be low-income according to HUD guidelines*
