"I have been involved with Christmas in April and now Rebuilding Together (RTO) for over 14 years.   I have served as Previewer, House Captain and Facility Captain for homes, single family dwellings, multi-family dwellings,  churches, schools, Children's Fairyland and Youth Facilities in Oakland.  I am a native of Oakland, born and raised and still reside here.  My vast knowledge in construction as a General Contractor has allowed me to be able to give back not only to the less fortunate and ones in need but also to the volunteers who want to give back to the community.  This giving back shows up in many ways.  When you volunteer for RTO your hands on experience goes way beyond just learning how to repair the leaking pipe or the swing of a hammer.   RTO  is about changing lives, it is about humanity it is for the future of our community and the people in the community.
